The Chariot
This is the eighth card in the major arcana and it's numbered
VII.
One might expect a card called The Chariot to be all guns blazing and tearing
about. Instead, this card is somewhat gentle in it's approach. The
charioteer is a strong yet kindly looking man and at the head of the chariot are
two sphinxes with some obviously female characteristics.
So what does this mean if you draw the chariot in a
reading? Well, if you ponder on the illustration you will understand that
the chariot is asking you to be strong yet gentle in your approach. It may
be that you need to lead the way in something and take control. If you are
strong enough you will win through whether that means winning a sporting event
or any other victory. However, this card is not asking for brutal strength
to win through. If anything you need to get in touch with your feminine
side. Ladies, this may mean that you'll have to use your feminine wiles to
solve a problem or achieve a victory. Men, you need to tone down the hard
masculine approach and soften up a bit if you want to bring someone round to
your way of thinking. You will need to be assertive but not bullying or
unkind.

There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our
