The Sun
The
Sun is the twentieth card in the Major Arcana and it’s numbered
XIX.
In the Sun we see a happy child astride a white horse with arms outstretched and
holding a big red banner. behind the child is a wall with sunflowers
growing along the top. Dominating the rest of the card is the radiant sun
which shines upon everything.
This is the tone of The Sun. It is huge. If you draw this card you
can be sure that you are going to experience something really big in your life
and will be astonishing. If you've ever heard the expression, "Everything
in the garden is rosy," then this will apply to you.
When this card comes up you know that your life is going to go up a gear.
You are at a point where you are beginning to feel energised and ready to go.
Help it along with plenty of exercise and fresh air. If you are unable to
exercise due to physical limitations make sure that you get out and about and
enjoying good company. You are soon going to feel revitalised to the point
where you can start all those projects you've been putting off, or move house or
start the business, club or organisation that you've been planning. There
will never be a better time so go for it.
Of course the Sun isn't only about the physical sense of wellbeing and about
achieving material success. You may have been dallying with the idea of
seeking enlightenment or starting on a new spiritual journey. This card is
telling you that the time is right now. Whatever you are seeking is there
for you. Seek and you will find.
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our
