is the fifteenth card in the Major Arcana and itís numbered
The card depicts an angel pouring water from one cup to another beside a pool.
The card has an air of calmness about it and as soon as you turn this one over
in your hand you can feel the guiding influence surrounding you.
Angels are there to protect and guide and to temper the ups and downs in your
life. If you draw this card in a reading it may mean that you need to stop
and take stock for a while and decide what if anything needs to be tempered in
your life. Have you had too many excesses recently or have you been on a
whirlwind journey dashing from one job to another? Have you sat around not
doing anything for just a bit too long? Temperance is telling you now that
you need to change your lifestyle and calm things down a bit or speed things up
depending on your situation.
Temperance can also mean that you may be able to put yourself in a position of
arbitrator between two warring parties. You have the qualities needed at
this time to help the situation so do help if you can.
If you are unsure or hesitant please don't worry or dwell on things. Your
guides will help you and if you can open yourself up to their help you can make
some very real progress. Have faith. All will be well.
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our
