The Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune is the eleventh card in the Major Arcana and it’s numbered
10. This card does not have a central figure but at the four corners there are
the images of an angel, an eagle, a cow and a lion. Each is reading from what we
assume to be a sacred book. This could represent the teachings of some of the
major religions. That the religions all come together on this card is
significant and it could mean that something in your life that has been planned
for while is all coming together.
At the centre of the card is the wheel and this is shrouded by images of a
serpent and the devil. At the top of the wheel is a shpinx with a sword across
his right shoulder and a rather mischievious look on his face. If you have
drawn this card it could be that you are in for a surprise. Someone who keeps
his or her thoughts and intentions secret may well contact you soon. If you
have been worrying over a difficult problem then the Wheel of Fortune is showing
you that it is about to be solved. You do need to stand back and take a
breather so that you can see clearly what the answer may be. This is a card of
opportunity. Make sure you recognise it and grasp it before it's too late.
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our
