The Ace of Pentacles

There is something interesting about the illustration for the Ace of Pentacles.  Like the other aces it shows an outstretched hand, and for this card the hand is holding a pentacle.  What is interesting is that underneath the hand there is a pathway leading up to a hedge.  In the hedge there is a moon gate.  Usually a moon gate is a circular opening in a wall which is an inviting entrance into the gardens beyond . Originally they were only found in the gardens of wealthy Chinese nobles but now you may see them almost anywhere. 

The moon gate in this illustration does indicate prosperity and the possibility of wealth.  If you have drawn this card in a reading it may be because you are at a considering a new idea or project and don't know whether to proceed.  The aces often indicate new beginnings and pentacles generally are to do with material matters.  Is there something you have been considering doing for a while?  Is there a little idea forming that might grow into something life changing?  It is possible that you are wondering whether to take up an offer.  It may be a new job or a business venture or it may be something that will lead you through your personal moon gate into a new and more prosperous way of life.  Only you can decide whether to follow the path into the gardens beyond.  All new ventures are risky but if you have thought about this one long and hard then maybe it's time for you write down all the advantages and disadvantages and make a decision.  Sooner or later you will have to choose which way to go but make sure any decision has a solid foundation.  This ace is telling you that you can make your dreams come true and that what you start now could flourish and grow into something much bigger.
