The Nine of Wands

The Nine of Wands shows a young man with a bandaged head standing in front of what appears to be a barrier of wands.  He looks worried and defensive as if he's expecting to come under attack at any moment.  He clutches his wand with both hands  as he glances nervously along the road to see what might be coming.

The Nine of Wands sums up how you might be feeling at this moment. It represents the hurt and anguish we have suffered recently.  If you've had a knock you're going to be very careful not to let it happen again.  This has left you somewhat unsure of yourself, but ready to defend your corner from the attack that you're convinced is coming.  You are right to be wary but you can deal with this situation if you just calm down a bit.

One of the things that we can take away from The Nine of Cards is that although the young man has been hurt he's up and ready to go again.  He's been damaged but by having this experience he has come out stronger and he's more determined than ever not to give up.  If you're having one of those times in life when everything seems to be working against you this card is telling you that you have the strength to go on.  If you've been knocked down you can get up again.  You will feel stronger and more able to cope in the days to come.  This time will pass and you will soon find yourself wandering peacefully in the green pastures.  Take this away with you and know that everything will work out in the end.

Your daily tarot card
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our Rider Waite page.
