The Seven of Wands

The Seven of Wands shows a giant of a man at the edge of a cliff grasping a wand in both hands.  He's doing battle with the remaining six wands that appear to be stuck in front of him to create a barrier.

In the illustration the man looks worried if not a little desperate and this just about sums up how you feel about your problem.  You have been battling with this problem for a while now and yet you can't see your way through the maze of difficulties that have sprung up everywhere.  Every time you want to make progress something happens that gets in the way or someone opposes you.

What you need to do is to stand back and look at things a bit more objectively if you can.  Sometimes just walking away and taking a break can help.  Once your mind is released from constantly thinking about something the answer will come to you when you go back.  It was actually there all the time but you just couldn't see it.  In many cases you will see that the problem isn't a major problem at all and that the best answer is to draw a line under it and move on.  Often a conflict isn't worth all the grief and anguish that it causes and the best solution is to let it drop.

If you look at the "barrier" in the picture it really isn't very big and you are actually quite tall and strong. This gives us a clue as to something you may need to beware of in the Seven of Wands.  You need to recognise that you are big and strong and some people may be a bit in awe of you.  In fact some people may actually be afraid of you, especially if you are their boss.  Make sure you treat people kindly and listen to their point of view.  You don't need to bash your way through and trample on everything just so that everything goes your way.  Give a little and be kind and you will be repaid in bucket loads.

Your daily tarot card
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our Rider Waite page.
