The Two of Wands
There is a lot going on in this card. First of all the man gives the air of someone who already done quite well in the world. He stands proudly at the battlements with his head held high and the first wand held firmly atop the battlement. He is already in a position of power. The second wand is secured firmly to the battlement and it's not going anywhere. Yet it's as if there is something not quite finished. If you have drawn this card in a reading you need to ask yourself who or what is causing a problem. On the one hand you have the total security of everything being as it is now. The wand firmly fixed to the battlement shows that it's not going anywhere. On the other hand you may feel that you are being challenged or contradicted in some way. It's possible that this is threatening your security. It may be that you have a power struggle going on. This could be a power struggle within yourself or it could be that someone is trying to usurp your position. What you need to do is to try and be as objective as you can. Try and stand outside the situation. This needs to be dealt with using compassion and tact. You may hold the reins and be the one in charge but no-one likes to feel that they are being disregarded or that you aren't listening. Try to bend a little and reach a good compromise. If your situation calls for a bit of creativity then the two of wands is telling you that now is the time to go for it. Have a bit of courage and trust in your instincts. The man in the picture is gazing into the distance and wondering what might be. If you don't do it you'll never find out!
