Three of CupsThree of Cups

It’s interesting that this was the daily card that I pulled from the deck at random while I was at work. At the time we were celebrating Halloween and raising money for the Think Pink breast cancer research campaign. I was dressed as The Pink Witch and I had taken my deck into the office in case anyone wanted a reading.

In the three of cups we can see that there are three ladies celebrating. They are dancing in a circle and holding their cups aloft. Two of the ladies have their hair dressed with garlands and one of these ladies also carries a garland in her hand. At their feet we see an abundance of fruit and nuts and in the foreground there is a pumpkin.

This card was very apt for a Halloween celebration in the office in which we all joined together to raise money for charity. It symbolises joyful celebration and abundance and the person who chooses this card will indeed attract good fortune. This may be personal fortune but it is more likely to represent the good fortune of a group such as a charity. If this is your card for the day you can expect to see friends gathering around you and you may well take part in a group activity. The three of cups may also be asking you to extend friendship to someone who needs you. If you draw this card then please remember someone who may be on their own and who would like to join you for the day. The ladies dancing are very exuberant and you could well feel like dancing and singing before the day is out.

Your daily tarot card
There are times when all of us feel that we need some guidance in life, especially when we feel unsure about the path we're taking. A daily tarot card can often help you to see things a bit more clearly. There is no magic in this. What you are doing is drawing on your inner resources and strength. You are using your intuition and the illustration on the card to help you to see things in every possible light. I find that rather than relying on a computer to draw the daily card for me it's best to have an actual deck that I can draw a card from myself. The deck I'm using here is the Universal Rider Waite deck which is easily available online. Some of the auctions are shown below, or for more information visit our Rider Waite page.
